[ she's only gloating because he doesn't. Inside, she's just as unsure and awkward. But have this exact smirk, Merlin. ]

[ She bites back a smile, hopes he cannot see the traces of it on th corner of her lips. ]

What is it that you wish to tell me, Merlin?

[He starts hesitantly.]

I just...wanted to talk. What happened yesterday--what does that mean for us now?

[ 'don't know' but she can't say that. She looks unsure for a moment. She should say it means nothing, she should tell him to leave her be and she wants that; only she wants him to stay, too. Wants to have this conversation in person and not like this. ]

You should have kept away from me when I told you to. It would have made things less complex.

[He loses the nervousness as incredulity sweeps through him.]

[ there is annoyance on her face, mainly because he's right and she hates that he is. ]

[He gives her an exasperated look.]

Only because this isn't something we should just...pretend didn't happen. [Suddenly, he frowns.] We can do that, if that's what you prefer.

[He still has no idea what even made her do that in the first place.]

[That's what he wants to know. If he was confused before yesterday, he's even moreso now.]

[ and Morgana doesn't know either. In her memories, she always knows, knows what her goal is and how to get there. But this - this is unfamiliar and uninvited and she doesn't know what she wants at all. Her face remains sealed, though there is uncertainty there along the edges. ]
