[ It takes her hours to answer to this; at first she thinks to ignore this one like all the rest but then he speaks of Gwen and she freezes. Gwen, Gwen who Morgana wished for more than any other, Gwen who Morgana still feels for because of this city -

But Gwen who would sit on her throne, Gwen who will steal what is rightfully hers. She shouldn't care that she's back, a servant girl who was once friend and will come to be her enemy. Her former friend who chose Arthur.

Then I hope she'll find her place well among you. I want nothing to do with any of this, I told you that already Merlin.

[ more than once; and yet he torments her.]

Morgana, she doesn't remember anything. Not of what happened, or really of Arthur. She's not long after the Questing Beast attacked Camelot, like you were in the beginning.

[He goes quiet.]

Will you not try to talk to her?

What would you have me say to her, Merlin? This is hard enough as it is without her. She chose Arthur long before, let her choose him here too and leave me be.

Do you think it is to simple for me? To be entrusted with all of this? I left for a reason. For all how much you think me to be so easily manipulated by my evil sister of a sort, this is hard for me too.

[Merlin sighs wearily.]

All I'm saying is...you expect the worst of us. I know it's hard to forget everything you've seen, but...don't blame Arthur and Gwen for things that haven't happened yet.

[There's a long pause. He knows he keeps pushing his luck, contacting her still.]

At least think about it. [Then, softer: ] There's still a home for you here, if you want it.
