[He's not really sure what more to say - he wants to give her the chance to rage at him if she wants - wants to give her the chance to say anything if she does.]

[So he just stares back for a moment before asking]

[ his question alerts her to the fact that she hadn't spoken yet. Her expression is unreadable but - ]

[He shifts a little uncomfortably, it's not something he wants to even think about, let alone tell her. But he has to, he owes it to her.]

[ she nods. That seems fair enough, that seems like something she would ask for herself. ]

[He nods again, his heart clenching. He didn't expect her to forgive him or take him back, but it hurts to think that he hurt her badly enough that she won't jump at the chance to be back with her friends]

[ she adds as if in an afterthought. ]
